An Introduction:

Before you decide to read what we have to say we'll preface it with this: we love the games of football (soccer) and basketball, more than most things in the world. Our fanaticism for the sport, shows no bounds. We have absolutely no experience with blogs or blogging but, what we lack experience, we have in spirit, passion and decent writing ability. Feel free to read what we have to say and comment on it. Agree or disagree, all opinions are welcome here, even if they represent teams we dislike. Thank you for your time and welcome to the wonderful world of Follies, Fortunes, & Fanaticism.

New York Red Bulls; A season in review, Goals, FINALLY SUCCESS! and Not this s**t Again

Ecstatic celebrations abound in New York!
First things first, WE WON A TROPHY! My nerves for this final game have been livid for weeks. As the season slowly ticked down and New York were putting themselves into a position to win first place, I continued to lose control of myself. The last month of action was heated, from angry drunken ramblings about how we would never do it, to riveting ecstasy with the prospects of actually getting our first trophy. Needless to say we got it and I have been jubilant ever since. Now, with the regular season in the rearview it is both time to reflect on our season, surmise about the playoffs and post what I believe to be the best goals of our season. Enjoy!

Fabulous Fortunes, Flagrant Follies, and Freakish Fanaticism

Due to life happening, including; working at graduating college, a deer totaling of my car, losing people close to me and the never ending girl problems, needless to say it has been a long time since any posts have gone up here. Today or, I should say tonight, that all changes.

First things first. In the tradition of this blog it is time to show Follies, Fortunes, & Fanaticism, to which I am particularly excited for because I'm going to change it up a bit.

Follies, Fortunes & Fanaticism!

So I haven't posted one of these in a long time, since really the beginning of this blog, but here we go! Sticking to our namesake, another round of follies, fortunes and fanaticism starting with one of my favorite things to do...find follies. Although I could easily post any meme about Chelsea and crack a smile even on the most ardent Blues fans, I instead will take this moment to jab at my Spanish rivals, Real Madrid. Normally, someone would think that Madrid is a hallmark of fashion and style, yet it seemed to tetter off when one Jesse Rodriguez asked his barber to shave his letters into his head, good idea? This is what the barber gave him:
Jesse Rodriguez (JR), the 19-year-old, seems to have been outwitted by a drunk child.

Knicks Win The International Clash In The Glorious Return Of The Shump

This was set to be an exciting game from the outset. Not only were the Knicks playing in the O2 Arena in London that saw Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler win gold medals, not only had they had a week of press conferences and events for local basketball youngsters, but it marked the much-anticipated return of the one and only Iman "Shump" Shumpert. Some pontificating on the game after the jump.

How patriotic.

Bledsoe Impressing, Lebron Stressing, and the KD Posterizing!!--a Wild Monday Night

Thunder Roll
Durant Made Luis Scola his latest Victim

The Thunder continue to impress despite the absence of Serge Ibaka, who is listed as day-to-day. The Suns offered little resistance as KD and Russel Westbrook combined for 77 points. At this point it appears that Sam Presti was right to trade James Harden. This team has not missed a beat, remained financially profitable (a massive factor in his decision to trade the Beard), and remains in the elite-group of legitimate title contenders.  The dynamic duo of KD and RW continue to propel this juggernaut forward.

The Knicks Complete Their First Three-Game Losing Streak Of The Season

Well, it had to happen eventually, although I never imagined that our Knickerbockers could be so thoroughly humiliated three nights in a row, twice on their own home court. Granted, they are currently battling numerous injuries and were playing two of the best defensive teams in the NBA, but the fact remains that the only thing worse then their defense of late has been their offense. Read more about this ugly, ugly game after the jump.
