So I haven't posted one of these in a long time, since really the beginning of this blog, but here we go! Sticking to our namesake, another round of follies, fortunes and fanaticism starting with one of my favorite things to do...find follies. Although I could easily post any meme about Chelsea and crack a smile even on the most ardent Blues fans, I instead will take this moment to jab at my Spanish rivals, Real Madrid. Normally, someone would think that Madrid is a hallmark of fashion and style, yet it seemed to tetter off when one Jesse Rodriguez asked his barber to shave his letters into his head, good idea? This is what the barber gave him:
Moving onto another area that is close to my heart, the absurd and irrational things that we do for the teams we love. Recently, two French sides met in the Stade de la Route de Lorient, the home side being Stade Rennes and the visitors being Montpellier Herault SC. Two goals by the home side was enough to send Rennes to finals throwing the home supports into an apparent frenzy! Watch them be fanatics, like me!
Finally to the last part of the blog's name, the fortunes which i prefer to manifest in some of the best goals that I can find for you viewers. In my search I found an absolutely gorgeous goal that took place in classic Portuguese fixture between SL Benfica and FC Porto. A goal that should make anyone smile from watching it, topped of by Nemanja Matic, thank some mother somewhere for his existence:
